Tanner’s Little League Dreams

The Club was pleased to support local junior baseballer Tanner Karlsen, who has been selected to represent Victoria in the 2026 Australian Little League Championship Tournament in Brisbane this July. This exciting opportunity will see Tanner and his Rangers teammates compete against the nation’s best young baseball talent.
To help ease the financial costs associated with travel, accommodation, tournament fees, uniforms, and other team expenses, Club Kilsyth and Club Ringwood proudly donated $1,000 towards Tanner’s fundraising campaign.
We congratulate Tanner on this outstanding achievement and wish him and the Rangers team every success at the championships. We are proud to support local young athletes as they pursue their sporting dreams.

WOW! Trina’s Biggest Morning Tea

One of Club Kilsyth’s much-loved chefs, Trina, recently opened her heart to raise funds for the Cancer Council, supporting a cause that is deeply personal to her.
Dedicated to friends and family who have been bravely impacted by cancer, Trina’s fundraising effort inspired the generosity of our Club community. Members and guests proudly got behind the campaign, contributing a total of $119.10 towards this important cause.
Every dollar raised will help support vital cancer research, prevention programs, advocacy, and support services for individuals and families affected by cancer.
We sincerely thank Trina for her dedication and everyone who donated. This wonderful result highlights the compassion and community spirit that make Club Kilsyth such a special place.

Good Friday Appeal

The Club was proud to support the 2026 Good Friday Appeal, with our members once again demonstrating their generosity and community spirit. Through dedicated fundraising efforts, members raised an outstanding $2,879.80 to support The Royal Children’s Hospital and the vital services it provides to children and families across Victoria.
Every contribution helps fund world-class patient care, medical research, education, and essential equipment, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Katie’s Journey: Strength in the Face of Adversity
March 2026

At just 12 years old, Katie has shown remarkable strength and resilience while living with Neurofibromatosis (NF), a condition diagnosed when Katie was only 18 months old. Despite the many challenges NF has brought, Katie remains a bright, caring and determined young person who continues to inspire everyone around her.
Katie’s journey has included multiple tumours affecting the brain, optic nerves and spine, resulting in vision loss in one eye and ongoing complications, including scoliosis. Recent scans have revealed further tumour growth, requiring continued specialist care and discussions around additional treatments, including chemotherapy and possible surgery.
Through every setback, Katie has faced each challenge with courage and determination. The ongoing medical treatment and support required place a significant burden on Katie and the family, making community support more important than ever.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members and guests, Club Kilsyth and Club Ringwood are proud to have raised $1,732.80 for Katie’s medical fund. Anne-Maree was honoured to present this donation on behalf of our club communities, helping support Katie’s journey and future care. We look forward to following Katie’s progress and celebrating the many achievements still to come.

Community Rallies Behind Archie
July 2025

The Club community came together in an incredible show of support for Archie, a seven-year-old living with Multiple Sulfatase Deficiency (MSD), a rare genetic disorder. The fundraising campaign aimed to help Archie and his family create special memories through a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the USA, where he will have the opportunity to experience unforgettable adventures and meet some of his sporting heroes.
Members and guests from Club Kilsyth and Club Ringwood embraced the cause with generosity and compassion, raising an outstanding $5,044.95. Their support demonstrates the power of community and the difference that can be made when people unite behind a family in need.
We sincerely thank everyone who donated and helped make this wonderful contribution possible. Together, we have helped bring Archie one step closer to creating lasting memories with his family.

Igniting Community Support: $2,203.80 Raised for the CFA
June 2025

A MASSIVE thank you to our Members and Guests who donated $2,203.80 towards Bayswater Fire Brigade’s new Field Command Vehicle. It was a privilege to present Captain Jamie with the donation last week and see the new vehicle and have a tour of the fire station. The new vehicle will provide critical incident support for both local fires, and for strike teams further afield. The Bayswater Urban Fire Brigade do an amazing job servicing our area and supporting our community.

Helping Hannah
May 2025

The Club was proud to support the Help Hannah fundraising campaign, with our generous members coming together to raise an incredible $1361.95, which was donated to assist Hannah and her family in securing a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Hannah, a young girl living with complex medical needs, relies on specialist equipment and ongoing care, making accessible and reliable transport essential for her daily life and medical appointments
Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our members, this contribution helped make a truly life-changing difference. Hannah’s family shared their heartfelt gratitude, describing the vehicle as providing “safety, independence, and the ability to get to appointments, school, and daily life with far less stress.” Receiving the car just before Christmas made the achievement even more meaningful.
On behalf of Hannah and her family, thank you to every member who donated and supported this worthy cause. Your generosity demonstrates the incredible impact our Club community can have when we come together to help those in need.

A Shave for a Great Cause

Club Member Steve Love made an incredible commitment to this year’s World’s Greatest Shave, undergoing a remarkable transformation while raising vital funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Club Members and visitors also showed their support, contributing $267.60 through donation points around the Club.
Steve’s fundraising effort highlights the power of community and the difference one person can make when supporting a cause close to their heart. We congratulate Steve on this fantastic achievement and thank everyone who donated to help support Australians affected by blood cancer.

Helping Noah Reach the USA
October 2024

Club Kilsyth & Club Ringwood members proudly got behind Noah and his Kilsyth Cobras teammates as they prepared for an exciting basketball tour of the USA. The tour provided a unique opportunity for Noah and nine fellow players to further develop their skills, gain valuable experience, and represent their club on an international stage.
Through the generosity of our members and guests, an outstanding $475 was raised to support the team’s travel expenses and help make this incredible opportunity possible.
We thank everyone who contributed to the fundraising effort and wish Noah and his teammates every success on their basketball adventure. Their hard work and dedication make the entire Kilsyth community proud.

GOOD LUCK GEORGIE! Georgie Martial Art World Championship

We met with local legend Georgie to present her with a generous contribution to go towards her upcoming martial arts competition.
We’ve been following her journey as she represents Team Australia and competes in the U.S. Open ISKA World Martial Arts Championships, a major sport karate and professional martial arts event, is held in Orlando, Florida in July.
We were proud to present Georgie and her Sensei Josh with $1008.20 to go towards costs in getting her to the competition.

Club Kilsyth and Club Ringwood Members Support Local Sporting Clubs

Community spirit was on full display as members of Club Kilsyth and Club Ringwood proudly donated $1,200 to the Kilsyth Cricket Club and Kilsyth Football Netball Club towards their new pavilion project. The contribution will help support the development of modern facilities for players, volunteers and supporters, ensuring the clubs remain a thriving hub for local sport. Together, the clubs and their members are investing in the future of community sport and creating lasting benefits for generations to come.

Community Support for Xavier’s Road to Recovery
June 2024

The Club community came together to support Xavier Baker and his family following a tragic classroom accident that left Xavier facing a long and challenging recovery journey. After sustaining a serious injury that resulted in a stroke, Xavier has shown incredible courage and determination throughout his rehabilitation.
In response, members of Club Kilsyth and Club Ringwood rallied behind the fundraising campaign to help ease the financial burden on Xavier’s parents and provide support during his recovery. Through the generosity of our members and guests, the Clubs proudly donated $1,251 towards the cause.
We thank everyone who contributed. This support is a wonderful reflection of the compassion and community spirit that helps families like Xavier’s when they need it most.

Community Rallies Behind Mack
August 2024

The local community came together to support Mack’s hockey journey, raising an incredible $2,201.65 to help him attend the School Sport Australia 12 Years & Under Boys Hockey Championship in Cairns.
After earning selection to represent Victoria, Mack faced the costs of travel, accommodation, uniforms and tournament fees. The overwhelming support helped make this exciting opportunity a reality and showed Mack just how many people were cheering him on. Every donation, big or small, played a part in helping him proudly represent Victoria against some of the nation’s best young hockey players.
