Bayswater CFA Celebrates their 50th Anniversary and presentation cheque donation
August 2019

Bayswater CFA recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary at Club Kilsyth, marking a wonderful achievement. 50 years of selfless volunteers and service to the community, protecting our neighbourhood and people.

Earlier this year both Club Kilsyth and Club Ringwood’s donation collection points were dedicated to helping Bayswater CFA raise money for a much-needed Slip-On unit used to battle fires in difficult and hard-to-reach areas.

Well we can happily announce that thanks to all our lovely members and visitor’s generosity the Clubs were able to raise nearly $3,000.
Kim Phillips, an 18 year Bayswater CFA veteran, and the newly appointed Captain was happy to accept the cheque on behalf of the club from Manager Lisa Oakley on the night of their celebration and said it was a fantastic start in their two-year project to raise a much needed $50,000 for the vital vehicle.

Local MP Jackson Taylor was also in attendance on the evening providing his support to such a valuable organisation.
If you would like to donate to the Bayswater CFA and help them raise the much needed money for such a vital vehicle you can do so by going to their Facebook page – Bayswater Fire Brigade – CFA, click on the ‘Learn More’ button and ‘Give Now’.

Fund Raising for Jade & Boyd
May 2021

Visitors of the Club may have noticed our donation points located throughout the venue. The Club partners with local fund-raising endeavors to assist our community members. Our most recent beneficiary are Jade and Boyd, and their mum Rachael.
THEIR STORY
Jade and Boyd were both born with an unexplained genetic condition. These two children cannot get around by themselves so mobilise in their wheelchairs. Rachael, their Mum, has never had a car that can transport both of her children and their chairs.
It would be life changing for Racheal and her children to be able to leave the house together whether it be to necessary appointments like physio, hydrotherapy, medical or even something as simple as visiting a friend.
Whilst the NDIS will provide the necessary modifications and mobility upgrade, Rachael must provide a suitable vehicle. Any donations towards a wheelchair accessible vehicle, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.
You can donate at various points around the Club on your next visit, or go to their Gofundme page:

Thank you for your support!
